RECOMMENDATION: Looking for an on-demand printing service in Prague
Searching for an on-demand printer in Prague using AI
Sometimes you may need to print something important, such as a manuscript, thesis, or Ph.D. work, but you may not know where to do so. Have no fear, as we have researched to discover the best options for on-demand printing in Prague, which extends beyond simply printing papers.
During our research, we fully utilized advanced technology by asking Bing Chat, powered by AI, to assist us in our mission. So, where can you print your manuscript in Prague?
Printing House
Printing House in Prague is the first suggestion from BingChat. The entity is open from 8 AM to 5 PM. The company's website offers packaging, flyers, CD covers, stickers, and maps. It needs more transparency in terms of operation. We need help finding a price list; emailing prices could be time-consuming. Therefore, we decided to skip this option and look further.
The search results did not satisfy us enough to print manuscripts, so we adjusted our search mission and focused on printing theses instead. This is more common for most people and students to print on hardcover. Therefore, our next search looked like this:
However, this yielded insignificant results too. We suspect that Bing's ability to search for items in English is still in its early stages of development. With a stroke of ingenuity, we then translated the same sentences into Czech. But did this aid us in our search?
To our surprise, the search in the local language was much more beneficial. These are the results we obtained:
SOVA
SOVA Copy Praha was the second outlet we discovered, and here is what we found out: the shop offers to print theses in hardcover within 30 minutes. You can also order this service online, and the courier will deliver it to your house or a pick-up spot that is most convenient for you. Additionally, the shop offers printing of catalogs and brochures, which is helpful if you need to print an annual report, manual, or presentation.
The pricing varies based on the urgency of the copy and the number of copies you need, ranging from 230 Kč to 630 Kč. This is quite affordable. We assume the manuscript can be printed as a thesis with a hardcover. You can choose between colorful or black-and-white copies, with the price varying accordingly. The price differences can be seen below.
Copy General
Bing suggested another printing service, CopyGeneral, which has several locations throughout Prague and is popular among locals. This is the best option for printing manuals or annual presentations, as it allows you to design a professional yet authentic hardcover.
The only downside is that pricing information is not readily available, and you must contact them via email or online to get an idea of their pricing approach.
After experimenting with artificial intelligence to find the best three options, we also asked our good old friend Google for suggestions. The results of our search were as follows:
Upon our search, Google showed us the same options and suggested the CZU library for printing. However, further investigation revealed this was just a standard printing service without hardcovers or similar features.
So, what can we learn from our search?
Firstly, we must agree that manuscript printing is in low demand in the Czech Republic. Searching for these or advertising brochures may be more relevant when searching for manuscript printing services.
Secondly, Czech printing shops seem not keen on transparency or want to keep their prices private from competitors. This can make it difficult for consumers to choose a printing service.
Thirdly, we can expect that printing a manuscript could cost under 700 Kč. This considers that the format is similar to a thesis and requires a mix of black and white with some colorful pages.
Lastly, we were pleasantly surprised that you can order printing online and deliver the final result. The printing timing was also relatively fast, with a maximum turnaround time of only one week.
Our favorite shop was SOVA Copy Praha, especially for showing their prices and offering to print advertisement brochures and catalogs which could be similar to publishing manuscripts and manuals. The second place goes to Copy General, primarily for their expertise in the market and various locations spread throughout Prague and other cities. If all else fails, you can always go to Printing House, as their website can be switched to English and is easy to navigate.
We hope you enjoyed our adventure through the printing shops and that it will be valuable for you one day when you need a printing shop that can provide everything you need promptly and at a friendly price!
