Get Ready for the Best Campaign
Allianz's mission is to spread the vibrant spirit of Paris globally and reignite enthusiasm for sports, particularly among youth post-COVID. Allianz is launching the "Get Ready For The Best" campaign for their Road to Paris initiative. This dynamic campaign is designed to prepare athletes, fans, and employees alike for the unparalleled excitement of the Paris 2024 Olympics, offering many events, training series, and engaging challenges to foster anticipation and inclusion for all. A notable aspect of this campaign is the multitude of online events Allianz offers to prepare for Paris 2024. We had the pleasure of interviewing Patricia Segovia from the Allianz Olympics team to learn more about their online activities in the "Get Ready" campaign.
Interview with Patricia Segovia from the Allianz Olympics team
Anna: Allianz launched "The Get Ready campaign," which seems to have many online events. Please tell us more about it.
Patricia: Allianz has launched several online initiatives for sports enthusiasts and the next generation. The Get Ready Campaign provides access to all sporting needs, including sports explainers and infographics (kicking off in two weeks), in preparation for the Olympics and Paralympics Paris 2024.
The MoveNow program aims to motivate young people to stay active and properly manage their finances. One of the initiatives of the program – Future Workout – offers a three-part online training plan.
Allianz has also collaborated with the International Paralympic Committee to develop a MoveNow Training Series, which includes videos, a 21-day training plan, and motivational calendar tips to promote accessibility in society.
That sounds great. With so many online events, people can join from anywhere worldwide. Your target audience is mainly young people. How do you approach the young generation?
Allianz created a TikTok Challenge called "MoveNow Club," a global initiative to encourage movement among young people. The challenge, under the hashtag #MoveNowForParis2024, featured eight TikTok influencers launching a 24-second surfing warm-up challenge. The initiative was successful in fostering movement on a digital platform, with two influencer posts among the top-performing Olympic-related content in August, gathering over 16 million views.
As an Olympic Insurance Partner, do you offer any special services for the Games?
Allianz's eight-year worldwide partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Movements, which began in 2021, focuses on preparing people for sports, Paris 2024, and life. As the Worldwide Olympic & Paralympic Insurance Partner, Allianz provides insurance solutions and services such as ticket cancellation insurance for fans, athlete mentoring through the Buddy Program, and career preparation for athletes beyond sports.
We support more than 120 Olympians, Paralympians, and hopefuls (from over 32 nations and competing in 51 sports) as brand ambassadors. Additionally, Allianz supports the next generation through the MoveNow Program, running global and local initiatives, including a training series, TikTok Club, and sports camps. You can read more about the partnership here: Olympic and Paralympic Movements.
Final Thoughts and Lesson Learned
Allianz's extensive involvement as the Worldwide Olympic Insurance Partner underscores its commitment to athletes' well-being and the global sporting community. Their "Get Ready For the Best" campaign shows the importance of using the internet to connect with people and make sports fun. Allianz also shows us that everyone should have a chance to be part of the Olympic excitement, whether they're athletes or fans. Despite Allianz's focus on online events and initiatives for the Paris 2024 Olympics, there could be concerns about the depth of engagement and effectiveness compared to traditional, in-person activities. While digital platforms offer accessibility and convenience, they may lack the personal interaction and immersive experiences that come with physical events.
